Korean Video to Anki Flashcards | VideoAnki

The fastest way to improve your Korean listening

Convert K-dramas, variety shows, and Korean YouTube into Anki flashcards

3 free conversions every month

Example flashcard: video audio on the front, subtitle and translation on the back
0

Turn your favorite K-drama episode into a deck of flashcards with Korean subtitles and translations. Each card plays the audio clip so you can train your ear on real native speech.

Real speech, not studio audio

Native speakers at native speed, with all the elisions, filler words and swallowed syllables. Not phrases articulated for learners.

The text is hidden first

The front of the card is audio only. You either parsed it or you didn't, and the card tells you which. That's the whole point.

It lives inside FSRS

These are ordinary Anki notes. Your scheduler treats a listening rep like any other rep, so there's no separate app and no separate streak to maintain.

What can you convert?

K-dramas: learn natural Korean dialogue

Variety shows: pick up casual speech and slang

Korean YouTube: vlogs, news, interviews

TOPIK listening prep: practice with native-speed audio

Two steps

1. Pick a Korean video file (any container: mp4, mkv, mov, whatever you have)

2. Drop it in the form below and pick the two languages

What it costs

3 free full-video conversions per month, up to 60 minutes each. The allowance resets on your signup day.

Past that, you pay per video by length:

Under 15 min€0.50
Under 30 min€1.00
Under 60 min€2.00

Transcription and translation are API calls, and they meter per minute of audio, so the pricing does too. No subscription.

Who's behind this

I'm a French developer in Paris. I was learning Arabic, a friend was learning Portuguese, and we both hit the same wall: reading was fine, listening was hopeless. Every app we tried fed us audio recorded for learners, which is not the thing we were failing at.

So I built the converter I wanted: real video, real speech, straight into the scheduler I already reviewed with every day. It's the most efficient way I've found to train listening. In my humble opinion.
